Description

Imago Software is an indie game team of two that has been making SRPG games for mobile.

History

Brief History

Dustin purchased a cartridge of Fire Emblem : Genealogy of Holy War with his birthday money in 1996. Who knew that small decision would be a life changer? Original Partia story was written when he was in high school as part of a teenager fantasy world setting. He went on to study computer science at a university, and became a game programmer upon graduation. After working at several studios to learn his craft, he decided to make a game in genre that he loved the most: Japanese SRPG.

Journey begins

Dustin put up an ad for recruitment at an indie gamer community board to gather talents and Brett answered the call to become a writer, though he ended up contributing in more ways than that for Partia 1, doing its stage designs and marketing works. Matt Walkden was the original freelance artist who ended up doing almost all Partia unit graphics, along with much of the map tiles. Rei Zheng did the character portraits for the original Partia that is now slated to become Partia 3. Partia has contributions from around the world: Dustin from Canada, Brett and Rei from US, Matt from UK, David/Farenheat (who did splash screens) from Indonesia, TM (who did character portraits for Partia 2) from Japan, and there are many more works commissioned to people from South Africa, China, Netherlands, Vietnam, and Thailand. Much of the free assets the game uses are from people who released their own game materials on the internet for such as RPG maker projects. Truly the game would not have been possible without the internet and its many generous people, and I dream of the day I return the favor by releasing Partia assets for creative commons as well, in a few years.

Current

Partia: The Broken Lineage was release in November 2012. Partia 2: The Pretenders War was released in October 2014. Partia 3: The Knight of Partia was released in January 2019.
